Described by many as one of Yorkshire’s hidden gems, the Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park near Ripon is a private garden. In 2005 the owners decided to welcome the public to enjoy its beauty for an 8 week period each spring and a fortnight in the autumn.
Considered by many to be a botanical masterpiece, the garden and sculpture park is set in stunningly beautiful woodland; enhanced by peaceful natural springs, lakes and striking contemporary sculptures.
We visited on Sunday and were blown away by the garden’s flamboyant burst of colours; with rare rhododendrons, azaleas and Himalayan plants stealing the show.
Definitely worth the run out if you can get there before the spring season ends on the 19th June.
